The opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, The Tender & Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring our direct tendering activities and submissions, identifying and creating compelling award submissions. Through proactive sourcing of tender opportunities, this role will work closely with business units to ensure strategic tender management.

Your day-to-day will include:

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Manager who is looking to successfully lead our Group to deliver top-quality tender and awards responses. With excellent organisational capabilities to manage multiple bids, tenders and awards.

  • Source new tender (e.g. EOI, RFQ, RFI, RFT) and award opportunities
  • Maintain a national tender and awards pipeline
  • Coordinate bid/no bid analysis and decision-making with the CEO, COO or General Manager of each business
  • Coordinate bid specific research, tender & supporting documentation
  • Manage bid procurement contact and liaison of questions and answers
  • Manage EOI and tender submissions project plans
  • Write non-technical and technical submission content for both tender and awards
  • Coordinate approval of pricing, contract and operational deliverables
  • Coordinate review of submission drafts and resources
  • Work with Marketing team to design, format, layout of submission document templates

 Who we are looking for

  • Relevant tertiary degree qualified
  • Strong technical knowledge (e.g. tender management & process, project management, communications)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret tender questions and explain to others easily
  • Intermediate use of relevant software (e.g. excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer service skills & influencing skills
