Why Our Flexible Working Arrangements Include Furry Friends

Whether they’re furry, feathered or scaled, our pets are a huge part of who we are and are core members of our families.

Our fur babies are alike to human ones in that they’re needy and rely on us, especially when they’re a new addition to the household or they get sick.

We’ve introduced more flexible workings arrangements to reflect the lifestyles of our staff, with the addition of Paws Leave. Paws Leave means that our staff all across the organisation can enjoy the benefits of extra leave per year to fulfill their duties as pet parents.

With our passion for people at our core, we look to promote a healthier work-life balance and ensure we are inclusive of all lifestyles. This policy aims to make our staff feel supported and heard, acknowledging that children aren’t for everybody and for some, their furry kids are just as much an essential part of the family.

One of our staff members who has utilised his Paws Leave is Brennan.

“My workplace truly values the importance of family and that extends further than just the humans. On Monday, I was blessed to be able to take Paw-rental leave (yes that’s right, this is additional leave we have available to spend with our pets) to pick up the newest member of the family. I would like you all to meet the beautiful Rey! A huge thank you to the entire team for allowing me to spend the most important moments with our newest team member”.
