Arriba Group Leadership Forum & Awards 2022

On the 23rd and 24th of June Arriba Group was able to host its first in-person Leadership Forum in 3 years! Managers from across the country were finally able to come together to celebrate the face-to-face the achievements of FY22 and discuss the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in FY23.

Hosted at the amazing Kimpton Margot in Sydney, the event was a great success, allowing all those attending to acknowledge and recognise the milestones of the company and incredible hard work put in by everyone across the group over the past year. It was a great opportunity to put some faces to names and learn from the experiences of some of the incredible people and leaders we have across the group as well as introduce some new faces to the business.

Tanya Allford kicked off proceedings with the Acknowledgement to Country before handing off to our excellent hosts for the 2 days of conference – Camila Santarosa and Brennan Smith. Day 1 began with our Group Chief Executive Officer, Marcella reflecting on the challenges and accomplishments across the group over the past year then looking forward to 2023. Sessions on company strategy for FY23 from Marcella and Renee Thornton (Rehab Management) followed, before our LEGO Masters Louise Genge and Brennan Smith rounded off the first day of conference by challenging the audience to ‘Build the Future Together!’.

Day 1 concluded with the Annual Leadership Awards celebrating and recognising the exceptional talent and leadership we have across all the companies and identifying those who embody and live the company values.

Congratulations to all who attended the conference for making it in for the 8.30am start on Day 2. Arriba Group’s New Chief Legal and Risk Officer, Jayne Hartley, started the day presenting on Living our Values before Michelle Barratt led a session on Fostering an Innovative Mindset.

Next, Louise Genge took us on the first steps towards clarifying and defining our company purpose statement by asking us to reflect as individuals on our ‘why’, in her session on Purpose. The group was then split into breakouts of the businesses to discuss how we can work together to support the business and attract and retain the best talent with Chris Paul and the wonderful People & Culture team in their Attraction, Selection & Retention session, with additional sessions from the Marcella, the GM’s, and teams on a range of topics including Onboarding, Customer Journey, A Balanced Approach for a High-Performing Team and Planning for the Next Year.

Marcella had the group back together again to wrap up and outline next steps, rounding off a successful Annual Leadership Forum for the Arriba Group Management team.

Thank you to all those who participated in the forum, it was an incredible couple of days and your engagement emphasised the values and benefits of holding the event face-to-face after such a long break.

Special thanks to – Camila, Brennan and Robert for hosting, the presenters for their work presenting and to the Marketing team for all the hard work that went in to planning and coordinating this year’s forum.

Let’s Create the Future Together, Arriba!
